This Privacy Policy explains how Srutio Social (srutiosocial.com), operated by Srutio Media And Software, a sole proprietorship registered in India (MSME and GST registered), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit or interact with this website.

1. Information We Collect

Automatically collected information: When you visit srutiosocial.com, certain technical information is collected automatically. This includes your IP address (anonymised where possible), browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and general geographic location (country or city level, not precise location). This data is collected through Google Analytics 4 and LiteSpeed Cache as described below.

Voluntarily provided information: If you subscribe to the email newsletter through Kit (formerly ConvertKit), you provide your email address voluntarily. If you use the contact form, you provide your name and email address voluntarily. Srutio Social does not collect phone numbers, physical addresses, or payment information through the website.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Google Analytics 4 (GA4): GA4 uses first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_[container-id]) to distinguish unique users and sessions. These cookies expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively. GA4 collects anonymised usage data including page views, session duration, scroll depth, and traffic source. Srutio Social does not use GA4’s advertising features, remarketing, or demographic reporting. Google’s privacy policy governs GA4 data processing: policies.google.com/privacy.

LiteSpeed Cache: LiteSpeed Cache sets a functional cookie (litespeed_tab) to manage page caching. This cookie does not track you across sites or collect personal information. It expires at the end of your browser session.

WordPress: WordPress may set a functional cookie (wordpress_test_cookie) to verify cookie support. This is a session cookie and is not used for tracking.

Srutio Social does not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics beyond GA4.

3. How We Use Your Information

Automatically collected data is used to understand aggregate readership patterns, monitor site performance, and identify technical errors. Email addresses collected through Kit are used to send newsletter updates about new articles and publication announcements. Contact form submissions are used to respond to enquiries, including music submission requests from artists and bands. Srutio Social does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party.

4. Third-Party Services

Srutio Social uses the following third-party services that may process your data: Google Analytics 4 (analytics by Google LLC, USA); Kit, formerly ConvertKit (email marketing by Kit Inc., USA); Hostinger (web hosting by Hostinger International Ltd., Lithuania); Cloudflare (CDN and security, through Hostinger’s infrastructure). Each service has its own privacy policy governing data processing.

5. Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Email addresses are retained for as long as you remain subscribed. Upon unsubscribing, your email is removed from the active mailing list. Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months and then deleted.

6. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal data held about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; withdraw consent for email communications at any time by unsubscribing. 7. Children’s Privacy

Srutio Social is not directed at individuals under 18. Personal data is not knowingly collected from minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact contact@srutiosocial.com for deletion.

This policy may be updated periodically. Changes are posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of srutiosocial.com after changes constitutes acceptance.
